TUESDAY’S TEA
September 22, 2020Today’s storytime features Eunice Gatama’s poem called “The Screams” it’s a piece that she is drafting for Ghostlight Theatre’s Festival.
“Fear The Festival, ” a BIPOC horror festival based on the theme of fear. This poem is a taste into the fear that many women experience. I want to be more graphic and less pretty in this work, no glossing over how terrifying it is to be stalked. I found myself adding and removing things in the fear that I being too triggering or real in this, but again I reminded myself this is a draft of many and will continue to be unpacked. I hope it makes you uncomfortable.
