Continuing our segment of story time called INSIDE MY ROOM where we will be sharing poetry instead of monologues or fictional short stories. Today’s story time features a poem called Time has changed by Lauren Brady.
Time has changed.
The world froze, from the constant, hustle – transaction to purchase – work, pay, End — result.
Time has changed, the world thaw

Beings who’s shape remained still but,
The mind,
remained,
Moving,
Traveling through time,
but habits were Altered
Distorted
and I have forgotten
I have forgotten
Perfection
It got tossed
The result became too high a cost
I have forgotten
Greed
It overgrew
And changed my life from what I knew
I’ve forgotten
Hate
It transformed
And created me into a different form
I’ve forgotten
( )
Many things
I find life best when you’re not to cling
I
Know
It’s been hard
To live stuck in time
But, I’ve gained some practice
In the back of my mind
Some old some
New
I
Have practiced
Patience
The time it takes
To wait for things to stop their shakes
Have practiced
Kindness
The heart it fills
To greet the rest of the world with goodwill
Have practiced
Mistakes
The knowledge they give
To share with others and always
forgive.
